bohol

Our June 2-4 trip to Bohol was the biggest fashion event of the year for our group. Not that it was fashion week in Bohol or Manolo Blahnik held a fashion show at the Bohol Beach Club, it was just the biggest trip our group had in 88 years!! Weeks before the event, almost everyone had their swimsuits and boardshorts ready, and havaianas soaked, brushed, and cleaned (since most of us have light colored flips)! Everytime we go malling, I remember shopping for at least one item that I can use during our stay. It was absolutely the venue for us to showcase our new swimsuits, halter tops, and flipflops! But after seeing the place, the 'fashion show' pala was not actually the main event. It was just Bohol and its richness. I realised that there are just so many things I liked about Bohol.

#1 - The beach - Ganda! White sand, clear waters, plus palm trees surrounding the beachfront were great backdrops for picture taking! We heard that there were also sites for dophin watching (but didn't had the time for it) :(

#2 - Tarsiers - I never thought I'd love them! I thought they'd be scary but they're not. They're so cute sobra!

#3 - Chocolate Hills - They were just breathtaking!

#4 - Lunch at Loboc River - Sayang it started raining already so the river was not so blue anymore. Still, the experience was nice - the floating restaurant, fresh air, and good food!

#5 - Man-made forrest - Green all over! The air was so fresh. Just standing in the middle of the road mafifeel mo na.

#6 - Baclayon Church - Being there and knowing its history gave me goosebumps! This church is like hundreds of years old. Surprisingly, they were able to preserve the benches, altar paintings, murals, and even the confessional box!

I'd go on and on and this list won't stop. The people, the food, the souvenir shops (of course I wouldn't miss this!), the culture of Bohol are so great! Bohol is definitely a place that will be in my travel itenerary in the future. I doubt if my company will take us again there :( Anyways, when I have kids, I'd definitely take them there (hope the tarsiers will still be around for them to see)! :)

Finally!

At last, I'm able to start my blog! This is my very first post, a month after I created my blog. I hope my blog can carry loads of pics that I have been wanting to share to all my friends! I have lined-up pics from my wedding (almost seven months back), my honeymoon in bora (just a day after my wedding), and from the biggest fashion event of the year here in our office - our trip to Bohol (last june 2-4).

I also have pics of my recent best buys from my weekly trips to market!market!.

Expect pics from me from time to time, not much journal-writing. As friends know, I do sales for urc export monday to friday, 9.6 hours a day (okay, probably 8.6 hours a day since I always come in late!) and a big part of my work is to handle correspondences with my Japanese buyers (we email many, many times a day, as in!). So I think I have enough letter writing already. :)

Next post will be our office's Bohol trip! The beach is great and the tarsiers are so lovable you'd want to take them home!
